SAG Nevada Membership Meeting September 19

Special guest: SAG Secretary Treasurer Amy Aquino.

Besides a long and distinguished career as an actor, Amy Aquino is a graduate of Harvard (BS in biology) and Yale (MFA).  Possibly more important to us is her many years of labor activism, serving in a multitude of positions within SAG leadership prior to her current ascension.  Amy Aquino will be able to answer important Guild and contractual questions from a historical perspective that we are not generally privy. Nevada SAG membership meetings are open to Nevada Branch members of the Screen Actors Guild who are paid up and in good standing. Sorry, no guests allowed.

You can find her SAG bio at the following link:

Regional Branches of Screen Actors Guild Support Merger

RBD Backs Merger Concept

The Screen Actors Guild Regional Branch Division Board of Directors voted unanimously during its annual meeting, the Regional Branch Division Conference, held in May in Washington, D.C., to endorse the creation of one union to cover all performers.

Screen Actors Guild President Ken Howard, who was in attendance with Secretary-Treasurer Amy Aquino, said, “The Regional Branch Division of Screen Actors Guild is the vital and important voice of our membership in the Branches. I’m pleased that they so strongly endorsed the idea of one union for all performers.”

The RBD includes 20 Branches spanning from Boston to Hawaii. Nearly 28,000 Screen Actors Guild members who work in film and television live in the Regional Branches.
